Deer Antler for Dogs

It’s not widely known that deer antlers are, in fact, good for dogs.  Let’s face it, I’ve owned a lot of dog breeds in my lifetime and they all have a tendency to chew.  If you don’t provide something for them, it will end up being your socks, cords, toys, furniture, I could go on on what our canines used to cure their chewing blues.  But in recent years, I keep hearing more and more about the importance of a deer antler for dogs, so I’ll cover them.

2) They last a lot longer then rawhides.  Given the size, a deer antler for dogs can last weeks for smaller breeds.

3) They do not stain like rawhides.  If you’ve ever purchased one of those “flavored” brands of dog chews, they can really make a mess on the carpet.  A deer antler for dogs will not stain the carpet.

4) Rawhides can produce allergic reactions.  This can be fairly common for many dog chews.  So this is another reason where a deer antler for dogs is a safe chew alternative to any style of rawhide.

There are a lot of retail places that do actually sell deer antlers for dogs.  While it can be often expensive, you may as well try to save a lot of money by finding your own deer antler sheds.  If you know you’re going to be giving deer antlers for your dogs, you may as well look for the best deals.
